I'm proud to share that a deal our team put together was just featured in The Wall Street Journal.
A fellow Sotheby's agent recently called me about his good friends who weren't happy with their current agent.
He asked me to please take good care of them.
I listened to what they wanted, put together a short list of homes, and when we walked into a spec home in Fort Lauderdale, they canceled every other showing.
That home just went under contract as the largest spec home sale in Fort Lauderdale's history — $51 million and is expected to close in January 2027.
With the Joelle Team. Our clients come first.
The home sits on roughly 145 feet of water frontage in Sunrise Intracoastal, a gated enclave where a large share of the homes sit directly on the water. What makes this residence unforgettable is its facade of backlit quartzite. At night, the entire house glows from within, an effect the developer compared to an ember in a fireplace. Inside, there is not a single painted surface. Every wall and ceiling is finished in stone, leather, wood or fabric.
The numbers tell their own story. About 15,000 square feet of interior space, and roughly 25,000 square feet once you count the balconies and rooftop. An 80-foot infinity-edge pool. An eight-car garage that shares a glass wall with the living room. A library stocked with 1,000 vintage books. A wellness suite with a massage room, cold plunge and a sauna lined with a backlit Himalayan salt wall. A primary suite with its own breakfast area, two dressing rooms and a private terrace. The home is being sold fully furnished.
My clients had toured a number of homes in Miami Beach and Golden Beach before this one, and nothing felt right. As I told the Journal, "When they got to Fort Lauderdale, they made us cancel all the other appointments." Sometimes a home simply announces itself. This was one of those moments.
This sale is also part of a larger story. Fort Lauderdale is drawing serious wealth with its relaxed, boating-centric lifestyle, and the record book keeps getting rewritten. A waterfront estate there traded for $42.7 million last year, and another sold for $70 million in 2024. The market is telling us something, and buyers are listening.
The deal is expected to close in January. Congratulations to my wonderful clients on securing one of South Florida's most extraordinary homes.
