Stephen Ross and Ken Griffin Lead Florida’s $10 Million Push to Attract Top CEOs

Stephen Ross and Ken Griffin Lead Florida’s $10 Million Push to Attract Top CEOs

  • 02/4/26

A group of influential Florida business leaders has launched a major initiative aimed at attracting corporate executives and founders to South Florida, positioning the region as one of the country’s most compelling destinations for business growth and expansion.

Led by the Florida Council of 100 and backed by billionaire financiers Ken Griffin and Stephen Ross, the newly announced “Ambition Accelerated” campaign is a nationwide effort designed to encourage CEOs, investors, and entrepreneurs to relocate or expand operations along Florida’s Gold Coast—from West Palm Beach through Fort Lauderdale to Miami.

Griffin, founder and CEO of Citadel, and Ross, founder and chair of The Related Companies, have jointly committed $10 million to launch the initiative. Both executives have already moved substantial business interests to Florida and have been outspoken advocates of the state’s business-friendly environment.

The campaign will focus its outreach on major business hubs such as New York, Chicago, and California, targeting decision-makers with messaging that highlights Florida’s lower cost structure, lighter regulatory framework, and pro-growth economic policies.

In public remarks, Griffin noted that where a company is built has a direct impact on how much time leadership spends driving innovation versus navigating bureaucracy. He emphasized South Florida’s growing talent base, more streamlined regulations, and high quality of life as critical factors for long-term corporate success.

Ross echoed those sentiments, stating that he believes the next generation of major companies belongs along Florida’s Gold Coast, citing a strong operating environment, an expanding innovation ecosystem, and supportive public leadership.

Supporters of the initiative also point to Florida’s broader advantages—including no state income tax, comparatively light regulation, and its consistent ranking among the fastest-growing state economies—as compelling reasons for executives to consider relocating or scaling their businesses in the region.

Beyond advertising, the campaign will provide personalized introductions and concierge-style support for interested executives, offering hands-on guidance through the relocation and expansion process with the support of the Florida Council of 100.
