Bentley Residences Miami has officially completed a record-breaking mat foundation pour, marking one of the most significant construction achievements in Florida’s residential development history. This milestone sets the stage for vertical construction of the ultra-luxury tower rising at 18401 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.
Developed by Dezer Development in collaboration with Bentley Motors, and built by Coastal Construction, the 716-foot tower will comprise 216 luxury residences and is projected for completion in 2028. The design, led by Sieger Suarez Architects, blends automotive-inspired craftsmanship with cutting-edge architecture, establishing a new benchmark for coastal luxury living.
A Foundation Pour of Unprecedented Scale
The mat foundation pour was executed over an uninterrupted 36-hour operation, requiring extraordinary coordination and engineering precision. The effort included:
-
20,000 cubic yards of concrete
-
2,100 truckloads
-
2,400 tons of reinforcing steel
-
Ten concrete pumps operating simultaneously
This represents the largest residential foundation pour ever completed in Florida and ranks among the most substantial of its kind in the United States.
According to the development team, this milestone not only reinforces the project’s commitment to engineering excellence but also demonstrates the highly specialised collaboration required for a project of this scale. With the foundation now complete, crews will advance to the tower’s vertical rise.
